The Board agreed that Liberia is ineligible for an extension of the reporting deadline and is suspended effective 4 September 2018.

In accordance with the EITI Standard, the suspension will be lifted if the EITI Board is satisfied that the outstanding EITI Report is endorsed by the multi-stakeholder group (MSG) and published within six months of the deadline (i.e. by 31 December 2018). Description: The Board approved the funding review's recommendations in Board paper 35-9-B (Funding Review 2016) and agreed to revisit the issue upon clarification of supporting countries’ position at its 36th meeting.  

The recommendations were prepared by the Finance Committee.

Grouped contributions over multi-year periods are accepted/welcomed.

The EITI International Secretariat has performed the following assessment of routine online disclosures in Mongolia’s extractive sector to examine the country’s readiness to mainstream EITI implementation. The assessment follows the Terms of Reference for a mainstreaming feasibility study and reviews the extent to which there is:

(1) routine disclosure of the data required by the EITI Standard in requisite detail, and(2) whether the financial data is subject to credible, independent audit, applying international standards.

The EITI Board agreed that Eddie Rich is the Acting Executive Director from 17 August 2018 until a new Executive Director  is appointed by the Board. According to Article 16, Articles of Association, the Executive Director (or as previously known, Head of Secretariat) is also the Board Secretary.

The EITI Board suspended Honduras on 13 February 2018 due to not publishing the 2015 EITI Report by 31 December 2017.

Honduras’ EITI Report for 2015-2016 was agreed by the MSG and published on 29 June 2018. The report is available here. Thus, the condition for lifting its suspension has been met.
