The 2019 EITI Global Conference was hosted by the Government of France at the OECD Conference Centre in Paris, on 18-19 June.

Worldwide, trust in government is under strain. A perceived lack of progress in tackling corruption, tax evasion and illicit financial flows are contributing to the rise of populism and economic nationalism. The impact of the oil, gas and mining industries is often a focal point of public concern and potential source of conflict.

The Members' Meeting is one of the three permanent institutional bodies of the EITI Association. The Meeting is held in connection with the EITI Global Conference

The main task of the Members' Meeting is to appoint an EITI Board for the next three years. A list of the members of the EITI Association can be found here (link to follow).
